How to make Science fun? Adopt learning through play. You can use the facts of our body article below to encourage learning while kids assembly the jigsaw wooden puzzle from “Discover My Body”

The first layer of “Discover My Body” wooden Puzzle is the wooden jigsaw puzzle of a boy or a girl wearing their clothes.

Once you remove the first layer of wooden jigsaw puzzle, you will see the second layer. It tells us that our body is covered with skin. Skin enables us to feel things. We touch objects with our skin. Â Skin comes in many different colors and we see people with different color of skin.

Beneath our skin comes muscles which are attached to the bones. Our body has more than 600. The muscles can stretch and shrink like rubber bands. Therefore, we use our muscles to move our body, jump, run and even smile.

Our important organs inside the bones are: brain, heart, lung and stomach.

Brain is the boss of our body and it is protected inside a very hard bone called skull. Our brain sends and receives messages from all parts of my body.

Heart is like the engine of our body. It pumps blood to travel around my body through special tubes called veins and arteries. The blood is like energy for our body.

We breathe oxygen from the air and send it to our lungs and our lungs push the used air back out.

Stomach. We need food to grow and the food goes down to our stomach. Stomach will break and mash the food until it is soft.

Bones are meant to protect our body. The whole structure of bones is called a skeleton. Bones is the frame to hold our body and to protect softer organs inside. We have 206 bones and half of the bones are in our hands and feet.

Kids will have a great learning experience if they have objects that they can see and touch. “Discover My Body” wooden jigsaw puzzle is one of the tool to learn about the facts of our body. You can find Discover My Body – Boy and Discover My Body – Girl wooden jigsaw puzzles are available at Kidzpuzzle online store

Did you notice the change in Kidzpuzzle new wooden puzzles design? The colours are just as vibrant as before but there is a subtle change in the drawings of the pictures in that they resemble pictures that are drawn by a child. The artist who drew them is a mother of 2 young children age 5 and 2. Seeing how her kids draw pictures with lines that are not perfect (broken, not continuous) just as every kid does, she incorporated them into the design which makes the puzzle pictures looks more child-like and interesting.
